Robin and Pappaw

In 1999, I drove to Stockton Lake and spent the day with my Pappaw. I thought that it would be fun to interview him while I was there, so I threw in the very best state-of-the-art recording device ... a hand-held microcassette recorder and sat down with him and recorded his story. I'm really glad that I did that ... he died three years later. I learned so much that day. He was born in 1919, and life was very different 80 years later.

I listened to him tell his story, and still ... 23 years later I listen to him about twice a year. and I love being able to hear his voice. His life told in his words. You can listen here: www.recordyourlife.life/recordings.html

I have heard over the years that the one thing that people miss is their loved one's voice ... so I decided to create a service to interview people and capture their stories.

I will go to your location for the interview, bring along my professional equipment for the best quality, and provide digital copies to family members. Feel free to give me a call or message me to book a session! 913-534-8400

Best,
Robin

Pappaw's great-great granddaughters pointing out Pappaw's brick at Union Station in KC. They never had the chance to meet him, but they will always be able to hear his story. That's the beauty of recording your life and preserving your memories. #recordyourlife #recordyourlifestories #preserveyourmemories #tellyourstory
